Designer 2000 help system options

Can any one tell me if the Online help class in Designer 2000 is any good or is it considered a very basic help system? I do not want to use MS Help generator as my understanding is that it will only work on Microsoft clients. Are there any other options? Also does any one know if the help system in Designer was authored using the Oracle help system?
