Subject says it all.

I need to be able to "mirror" a db table via a PL/SQL table so that I = can scan rows for specific data.

For instance, I'm in Block1 and have a multiline item based on a table.

I go to row 3 of the multiline and have a need to look at the previous = row and the next row to see it the current rows data "fits" between = these two rows, generally within a When-Validate-item trigger.

Since this trigger has restrictions, (can't use go_block, go_item etc.) = I thought using a PL/SQL table (record based) would fill the bill. = However, I can find no mention of doing this. Creating the table in an = external stored procedure is easy enough but I don't know how (if = possible) to access it.

Anyone have any experience with this that they would care to share??

If so, a short example that demonstrates the method would be most = welcome.

I'm clean out of ideas.

If anyone has a solution or idea of how to accomplish this , please = e-mail me as well if possible.

Thanks,
Alex
