[Quoted] I'm relatively new to Developer 2000, and I need to base a data block on a set of data too complicated to be done in a single SQL query. The "Query Data Source Type", set to "Procedure", looks to be exactly what I need, but I don't know how to use it! I've taken Oracle's Forms I class and I see that this is covered in their Forms II class, but I don't know when I'll be able to take that class and I kind of need it now. I'm a pretty fast learner, but I haven't been able to find any useful introduction in the manual or anywhere else! Can anyone point me out to a book or on-line resource to help me learn how to do this?

If anyone's familiar with this and can just give me a quick summary, that'd be even better! The specific pieces I'm don't understand are when should I expect this procedure to be called -- once for each "record" it needs to load, or what? And what is it expecting the procedure to return (presumably in OUT parameters) -- a single record's data? In other words, what does the procedure need to do to link whatever action it takes with the data in the data block?

Thanks for any info you can give me.
