[Quoted] My PL/SQL V2.3 manual obtained with O7 7.3 makes no mention of a 'HOST' command from within PL/SQL. The only method I have used with O7 has been to use Oracle Pipes from within PL/SQL and send host commands over the pipe to a 3GL program that then issues the command to the OS. I have implemented an email system callable from PL/SQL via this method. Check out the Application Developer's Guide for more info.
