Oracle has within it's Enterprise Manager software package a tool called SQL Worksheet. It's a better editor than SQL Plus, but it still is a very very simple editor. It has a history of commands and load and save options. You can install it by choosing custom setup from your client install. Then select to install the EnterPrise Manager software.
