Forms, CGen45 & LOVs

I have the following problem:

I generate LOV with button just beside field. Column to be filled is mandatory. Everythin is ok except when I enter the field and try to press the LOV button I get validation message that field value is wrong even when field is EMPTY! (optimaly it should work even with wrong values, but for the begginning I just want to set the empty fields)
