DES2K disk space requirements

Is there a way to estimate disk space requirements for data within Designer/2000? It seems there ought to be, since there are opportunities from within the Repository Object Navigator and the Entity Relationship Diagrammer itself to specify initial, average, maximum, and growth parameters. What does Designer do with that information? Is there a process or report that takes it and computes total required disk space upon initial load, after six months, after twelve months, etc.? I've tried running the Database Table and Index Size Estimation report in the Repository Reports utility, but it always comes up blank, even though I've filled in the start rows and end rows. Is there some other way to do this, or is there some other report or utility I should use, or is there some other set of parameters I should fill out? Just in general, how do you as an analyst estimate the final size of an Oracle application before you actually begin the conversion process? Is it an art, or a science? Any help would be appreciated!
