I am hopeless when it comes to multimedia. But I've got something
that might help you.
If you need info on storing multimedia - including images - in Oracle,
there is one place you must visit:
https://sites.google.com/site/ommuds/
Marcelle Kratochvil has presented before at SydneyOracleMeetup and it
was amazing: these folks really know what they talk about when it
comes to multimedia and Oracle. The presentation papers are likely
still in the library of the Meetup site, haven't looked but you can:
make yourself a member, it's free and there is no spam other than our
invitations for meetups.
They use mostly plsql and Apex but of course there are heaps of other
mechanisms, including the Pathologically Eclectic Rubbish Lister (PERL
to the un-initiated).
Have a chat with Marcelle about this, it'll be worth your time.
