For software as complex as Oracle Database and its numerous technology stacks on as vast number of platforms as it runs on, each with its own bugs, glitches and "features", I'd say the product is amazingly stable. You can't possibly test it internally for each and every possible use case on every possible hardware and software combination. That's what customers are for. :) At least they fix P1 bugs pretty fast. Sometimes.
