Anyone ever have trouble (errors) using LDAP for names resolution?

Oracle 9.2.0.7 on Windows 2003 with 10G client on XP pro
I replaced onames with OID/LDAP awhile ago, and it works nicely with everything except one app, which happens to be written in Delphi (not sure if this is related) When trying to log on to the application it generates an "Access violation at address 7c91888f in module ntdll.dll.Read of address 0352FC90" error. If I take LDAP out of the sqlnet.ora file on the clients it connects fine using the tnsnames I still have in place as backup.
When the 9i client was on the machines I simply took the database in question out of the OID and the clients would go to the tnsnames file and open the app, but since the 10G client has been put in I now have to take LDAP right out of the clients sqlnet.ora files. (sqlnet.ora is configured to look at ldap, then tnsnames)
Oracle is no help here, opened up an SR and they basically said that connecting from Delphi to Oracle via DOA is not supported.
Any ideas of what else to look for here? Received on Thu Feb 07 2008 - 10:12:25 CST
