Good for you!

Now, you might consider that you are not the first person from your industry to post here. In fact, at times it has been a severe problem, and it has actually ruined some other usenet groups. "Victim" is not so harsh considering that. A number of people (including me) have concluded that swift, firm, no-nonsense responses to these posts are necessary, otherwise the common response of the misposter is to rationalize their actions, or worse if they are unethical, which is a severe problem in _your_ industry. You might note that the people who let you know that you've done something wrong are the same people that are very helpful to people who post proper, on-topic posts.

It's not like no one is letting you post. We all just want you to post in the proper place, which for a job posting is not here.

If you were having a meeting with a client, and someone came in with a megaphone and started yelling about how their computer was out of space, how would you feel? That's approximately how we feel, and indeed, if you watch the Monty Python sketch that gave spam its name, and imagine how many hungry recruiters there are, you might understand why your action is called spam.

Thank you for apologizing, you may have educated future misposters.
