10.2.0.2 Ent Ed AIX 5.2 64bit filesystemio_options=asynch we currently have AIO turned on for the server and are using all jfs filesystems without DIO turned on. We are adding a new storage cabinet to utilize for the database and want to use jfs2 filesystems on the new storage.

I've read that setting filesystemio_options=setall will let oracle determine how it accesses datafiles but in doing that it will cause any files on jfs filesystems to be accessed via dio. Has anyone here had any experience with running a database using jfs & jfs2 without cio or dio set and having aio turned on for the server? What did you have filesystemio_options set to? Does it work? Received on Wed Oct 31 2007 - 09:59:50 CDT
