I doubt it, especially since there's a good chance you end up talking to someone in Mumbai whatever region you ring from! It's therefore probably a who-you-happened-to-get-on-the-phone-related matter.

When assessing this sort of thing, you can only take the anecdotals that are offered and make a judgement call. I don't doubt there are good Dell anecdotes and bad HP ones. And vice versa. But had I not mentioned my experiences, the balance of anecdotes would be lacking on one side!

I've had dealings with Dell regarding a $4000 laptop, a $110 keyboard replacement and a $224,000 SAN -and not once did it go smoothly or with as good support as it should have. So maybe that makes it a who- -happened-to-get-on-the-phone-three-different-times-related issue!
