client: MS Win XP Pro SP2, Oracle 10.1.0.2 server: MS w2k3 svr SP 1, Oracle 10.2.0.3 p10 - Std ed, 32 bit.

client trace level = SUPPORT

Has anyone seen lines padded out like this in a Oracle net trace file:

(6116) [11-OCT-2007 10:27:49:664] nsprecv: 78 78 78 78 78 78 78 78 | xxxxxxxx|

It has to do with fetching data from a column of data type LONG. There's thousands of them.

D:\oracle\admin\net_trace>find /c /i "nsprecv: 78 78 78 78 78 78 78 78" client_6116_1_1.trc

D:\oracle\admin\net_trace>find /c /i "nsprecv: 78 FF 78 78 78 78 78 78 |x.xxxxxx|" client_6116_1_1.trc thanks.
