  1. First thing you do is figure out what version you have.
  2. You figure out what type of backup you have.
  3. You post information for people sufficient for them to help you.

In you case, for example, you might find that the database does not even use a pfile but rather uses an spfile. Or that a backup copy of the spfile is at $ORACLE_BASE/admin/....

But how could we possibly know with what you wrote?
