We are using oracle 9208 on linux AS 3.

Our sysadmin always shutdown our server without shutting down the database. I wrote a database shutdown script.

How can I make my script automatically run before the system shuts down? Or does Oracle has a builtin function which will shutdown the database when somebody types in
init 6?

Thanks for your help Received on Wed Sep 19 2007 - 11:10:23 CDT
