If this:



opmnctl restartproc ias-component=Discoverer



does not work, try:



$ORACLE_HOME/discoverer/util/stopall.sh

$ORACLE_HOME/discoverer/util/startall.sh




Not sure if it is available for your version (the above is 9.0.2/9.0.4
iAS server), though.



The error message is:


Attempt 1. CORBA protocol : Failed to connect to session
_yourserverNamehere_OracleDiscovererSession9 using OSAgent.
