Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> tnsnames, TNS-03505
Hi,
what does a tnsnames.ora have to look like on a client? I copied a working tnsnames.ora from a server (Windows 2003, 10g) to my client (Windows XP, also 10g) but still can't tnsping the SID, TNS-03505.
PROD_SID =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = myhost.domain.tld)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = prod_sid.oracle_domain.domain.tld))
Thanks, Helmut
