Anything that (still) doesn't use RMAN can be safely dismissed. Amongst the products that do use RMAN there are two approaches - some products call RMAN
- other products allow RMAN to call the product. This is in fact the most preferable approach as it allows RMAN to store information about tape labels etc in the RMAN catalog, so RMAN will automatically query the tape library to load the right tapes. Legato Networker (or whatever it is called nowadays) operates in this fashion, Tivoli Storage Manager too, and according to the online docs Netbackup should be capable to do this too (provided you bought -in all cases- their Oracle Agent)
Backup Exec calls RMAN and is quite user unfriendly. But, all things being equal, if I could choose (usually one can't) I would go for Secure Backup of Oracle.
