I have found the possiblity to startup/shutdown from within rman ...
should be ok from B then ... with sysdba priv and orapw paswword file etc.
we r planning to use a database catalog ( no use of control files ... )
we have already done the link thing in $ORACLE_HOME/bin with libok.so
