We had a server where a job hang. We killed it, but no new job would
start. Increasing job_queue_processes would not help. Querying
dba_jobs_running would hang.



Version is 9.2.0.7 running on RH 4 AMD x64



Any clue?



Job was hanging on "single-task message"
Restart of the db got jobs working again.

We run Oracle 9iR2,10gR1/2 on RH4/RH3 and Solaris 10 (Sparc)
