LOL! It doesn't make me angry, it's just software :).

You definitely have a workstation issue, though. I run 10.2.0.2 Enterprise Edition on my 512MB laptop, and while it doesn't scream, it is definitely functional. I even built a two database streams test case a month ago on it, and it (the laptop) was slow, but functional.
