I did follow it. I installed OpenSuse and I am getting ready to jump off the Fedora bandwagon. The diagnosis is very simple: idiots at Red Hat broke the compatibility. Let's use something else. What I am trying to communicate here is stupidity and recklessness of Red Hat who did not coordinate its compatibility breaking move with anybody. If Oracle rewrites their distribution to use NPTL instead of Linux Threads, I may consider starting to use it again. Fortunately, I am happy to report that OpenSuse suffers from no such problems as Fedora and almost everything works right out of the box.
