Size of an archive log file for dataguard

For the purpose of sending an archive log to a standby database over a
network link, if I have a 50mb archive log, is there a way to find out
how much actual changes (in mb) there are within that file as Id like
to keep the log local and just apply the changes over the network
rather then ship the physical 50mb log?
