It's due to the fact the firm I'm working for have this version and wish to stay with it.
There are no immediate plans to upgrade to the new version, however I wish we were.
But in the mean time i need to "go with the flow" as it were and do as i'm told.
In the meantime I would like to know that what we use is running at it's peak

This is very legitimate, and I can't understand why you think it may not be! I would imagine that this version is still in frequent use for legacy reasons!
