My two cents ... I understand, I think, the internal Oracle logical of a single installation for SE and EE but this is truly begging the issue with respect to both Oracle's ability to enforce in the courts and more importantly maintaining good customer relations.
A simple decision to accept money from customers that want to use an installed feature would simply everything and make the stockholders happy.
I must confess I do not understand the logic behind putting something on someone's machine, telling them they can not use it, and that if they do they are violating their license ... BUT ... we won't take your money. I think Joseph Heller said something about this in Catch 22.
