Bug 4160825 is related to version 10.1.0.4. If you search Metalink for 5310493 you will find that someone running version 10.2.0.2 is experiencing a similar problem - the article lists a couple things that were changed to the server to partially correct the problem.

Is this a table that needs to be removed often (or its rows deleted often)? If so, why not use a global temporary table?
