creating another database on the same box ?

My question is a general one most probably a simple one also.

I am using oracle 10G and I have one oracle home on the box. I have created another database with dbca. Right now I have two database with different control files and datafiles etc.. I have had problems creating the listener for the second database. Do I need another listener for that database or should I add another service for the new database on the current listener.

Right now I can start,stop,connect with sqlplus on the box just changing the ORACLE_SID but for OEM I can only connect to one of the databases. Received on Thu Jul 20 2006 - 04:18:32 CDT
