The guys at Oracle describe this as something that is painful and unpleasant and only occasionally works when real people try to implement it. It's also not a "real rac".
Some other options include NFS. Although there is only one suitable vendor for actual production hardware (namely netapp). There's also the possibility of iscsi. You can have a 3rd node be your storage device.
If this is for a "real" rac, then you need to figure out what parts of the system absolutely need to be redundant and start planning your system based on that. Performance will also be an issue. Latency will probably be more of an issue of raw thruput though.
