Then count yourself as one of the lucky ones. One of the most common classes of problems with running Oracle on XP Home are network-related problems. It may work, but chances are it may not work. In my experience, it does not work on XP Home more often than it does.

Additionally, XP Home is not supported by Oracle Corp. So should you have issues, you will not be able to receive help from Oracle Support.
