Try it.
You will regret it within one week, maybe even one day. The advisors in 10g advise only, and it is very easy to take a wrong decision, if you didn't read at least the Concepts Manual. The seasoned DBAs will still be needed. Those that are database *operator* only, can probably be fired. 10g automates only the routine tasks.
