We are running ORACLE 8i on a SUN OS 5.8. We do a cold backup nightly during the 12:00 AM - 3:00 AM window. One night the backups went beyond 3:00 AM and the database came up during the backups.
We happened to try a restore from these tapes and got the ORA-01207 error.
Our question is:
We know that there was no activity going on at 3:00 AM, so we don't have any corruption in our data. Is there any way to force the file open ?
Thank you. Received on Thu Mar 23 2006 - 15:03:19 CST
