I got this reply via email from an Oracle consultant who is a certified Oracle master ... the guy really knows his stuff ...

There is not that much traffic between the management agent on each of the servers where the database is running and the management server. The management agent only uploads every 60 seconds by default and I cannot remember the amount of data that is loaded but it is small - a few Meg. Most people use the corporate 100 MB for this along with other traffic and it is not a problem. Received on Mon Mar 06 2006 - 19:30:35 CST
