Or in my opinion will be the death of SQL Server ... whichever comes first.
C and C++ developer proved they didn't belong in the database.
Java developers have proven they don't belong in the database.
.NET has now given people who couldn't tell the diference between cardinality and rosary beads the ability to do what previously was only done by people who knew SQL ... meaning something about databases.
I expect within a few years to see a staggering consulting business develop fixing the mountains of unscalable poorly performing messes made by people who wouldn't recognize a data integrity constraint if it bit them on the nose.
