You will see an entry in v$session for msaccess.exe ( in program column ) for access 2003

Google around some more I am sure some people have canned exits out there that you might be able to borrow.

But a relevant question is "what kind of legitimate business activity is occuring via odbc" that this type of approach might interfere with.
