Standby Server requirements in 10G

Have they made Data Guard (and hence Enterprise edition) a requirement for 10G? Or can I set it up the same way I have done for 8i and 9i, which is to manually move and apply the logfiles via scripts. I hate to think I have to saddle a customer with the huge cost increase just to do Data Guard. It looks like the necessary SQL commands are there to do the job the same as before but there are some new commands that I haven't researched yet .

Bottom line is this is an important customer and I want to give them the best service possible but I don't want to charge them extra for functionality they are already getting today.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks
