My first impression from what you've written is that I wouldn't want you in my shop.

You apparently have zero Oracle skills and are interested in something for which you don't even know what it is. A strike out if ever there was one.

And to aggrevate things further I wouldn't hire anyone as an Oracle DBA that didn't have at least 3-5 years as either a UNIX system administrator or as a PL/SQL developer and was very good at it too.

If after this you are still interested then I would suggest that you contact me off-line and I'll try to get you some help. I will need to know your approximate location (city/country).
