Possibly, but it isn't the status symbol the Rolex has become over the years. In my personal opinion a Breitling is a far superior timepiece to the Rolex, but it hasn't garnered the same appeal in the "high-dollar" circles.

In that regard Rolex offers the GMT Master, a dual timezone timepiece; of course it has a far steeper pricetag than the Citizen and isn't as prestigious. Remember that Citizen and Seiko don't offer the panache of the Rolex; the brand is clearly marketed toward flaunting success. Breitling is marketing to the professional market, mostly pilots and people who like a more techincal timepiece (nearly all Breitling watches are chronographs, whereas only one Rolex meets that specification, the Daytona). Breitling offers the same metal choices as Rolex: stainless steel, stainless Steel and 18K gold, and solid 18K gold, so the 'bling' factor, something old Don is not wild about, is still there.

Personally I'd rather have a chronometer/chronograph on my wrist than a "plain" Rolex. It's just the more technical timepieces don't hold the same appeal to bankers and lawyers trying to flaunt their net worth.
