I think a clearer picture would help. is there a reason why field1 would contain a non-numeric character? Could a seperate field (numeric) in the table be added to contain all the values of field1 that are numeric? Then the query could use that.

There is always more then 1 way to get things done. Sometimes we have to work around the limits put on us. I am working on several schemas that were designed by individuals without the right experience. Worse yet, I spend my days re-writting their code (of course, there's no documentation so I need to decipher their code first - sorry to vent!) Received on Thu Feb 03 2005 - 21:38:39 CST
