I cancelled but now on logging out it trying to run sql it says :

      ORA-12545 Connect failed because target host or object does not exist
      I am very new to oracle so I am unsure where to go from here, and what
to add to the TNSNAMES.ORA I am sure it contains the wrong address.

      by the way those that have successfully installed oracle 9i client, the path where it askes for hostname is this the last path in the configuration process? and what did you put down for hostname if you were just a desktop user without a network and no internet access
