You'll need to disable 64bit kernel mode -> reboot -> install 8.1.7
*32bit* -> enable 64 bit kernel
-> reboot ... wicked stuff :-)
AIX 5L is only certified for Oracle 817 32bit and/or 9R2 64bit (got both of
them running on my p610 cluster :-) )
