so England lost again then ?
I didn't know - not being much of a sports fan myself - it's something to do with being a Jock I suspect - which probably explains the 'alternative universe' bit that you wrote.

Still, there's always next time .......

Actually, the only time I remember Scottish cricket being in the (national) news was when the West Indies came over and played a small village in Fife called Feuchie (pronounced F-you-ch-ee and not F-you-ck-ee) and got beaten :o)

I think Leeds must be in some sort of parallel universe. About all that could be said for the performance of England was that we play great one-day
cricket, that is to say for one-day out of 5 we compete.

Nor indeed do we English. The only surprise for me is that it took two days
