oracle9.2 installer problems on sles7

Hello,
I'm trying to install oracle9.2 on sles7 on a compaq prolinat 6500- but the installer does not work. I set all the environment and the kernel parameters and the patches like description. Launching the installer there is following message:
Initializing Java Virtula Macjhine from /tmp/OraInstall2002.../jre/bin/java. Please wait....

then the installer stops.
Someone tried the same problems ? Please answer with email to georg.hirber_at_sb-brixen.it
