How to sve (backup) RMAN Catalog ?

Hi,


we are backing up our databases with rman using a rman-catalog which
resides in its own database. How should (could) i backup THIS database
?


Only by doing export ?


Only by doing a cold backup using the os cp command for all files ?
Or should i use also rman but with the nocatalog option ?
It all runs on AIX 433 using rman with TSM and TDP.
