Ouch! Do you mean us?

Having said all that, as the poster who introduced the subject of filthy lucre here, I haven't read any of the comments as complaints about pay rates merely comparisons across geographical locations. Just for the record I get well below the 55k I mentioned for central london and I'm quite happy with my lot.
