I've exported from 8.1.5/AIX and imported into 8.0.5/NT as follows: - On AIX, export to, say, aix.dmp
- On AIX, issue:

imp system/manager@<NT database service name> parfile=<parameter filename>

So, one ends up using the same version export/import utility... maybe this helps?

You might have object/data compatability issues (8.x --> 7.x)... that's another issue, though.
