7 client unable to connect to 9i DB

Got a legacy financials system on Windows which has Oracle7 client DLL's hardcoded. All other DB's are going to migrate to 9i, but 7 client cannot connect to 9i database, got a ORA-01004 error (default username feature not supported; logon denied). And 9i got a 00600 into alert log file.

Any solutions to this, anything else but selfwritten SQL*Net protocol gateway? Oracle says, that 7.3.4 is not supported and you're on your own.

TIA,
Asko... Received on Sat Sep 22 2001 - 09:54:53 CDT
