I tend to agree with justin. In addition sqlplus shouldn't run java anyway,
It isn't (yet ) a java based product. Can you do what Justin suggests
unistall oracle completely using the universal installer, then delete all
oracle directories that might remain, then delete HKLM\software\oracle from
the registry. Having done this reinstall and try again.
