I'm not sure that's really possible. I don't have 8i. Maybe it's just
possible that the Personal Oracle 8 download was messed up.
I do have the jdk version 1.2.2 installed. I noticed Oracle installs a
JRE version 1.1. I updated my PATH environment variable and CLASSPATH
so it would not be referencing any part of JDK1.2, but it didn't help.
