I am trying to collect useful versions. For Oracle8, there is no 8.0.6 for Linux, so 8.0.5 is the choice. For Oracle8i, 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 are both fine. I found later that those people in OTN has changed the 8.1.6 ad 8.1.7 files. At present I have downloaded 8.0.5 and 8.1.6, and I just found that my WINZIP8 can do the uncompression, I can copy them to the disks after the uncompression. The only problem is 8.1.7, the download process always fail halfway, sometimes 50% or so.

Do you mean from the command prompt or from X-window? I don't know much about Unix or Linux at the moment.

Yes, I just don't know how to configure the ip address of Linux, so that other Windows can connect to. Received on Thu Feb 01 2001 - 10:17:28 CST
